International Women’s Day 2021
MUFG Investor Services is committed to a workplace environment that promotes diversity and inclusion and creates an open and inclusive culture where everyone feels valued. Our employees bring their own background, work style, distinct capabilities, experience and characteristics to their work.
We are committed to an inclusive working environment which respects diversity of characteristics including but not limited to sexual orientation, age, gender, race, ethnicity, disability, civil status, personality, thinking style and religious beliefs.
We recognize that our talented and diverse workforce reflects the diversity of our customers and markets and we want to utilize the widest range of skills, knowledge and experience in our business.
On this International Women’s Day 2021, we choose to continue to:
• Celebrate women’s achievement – both internal to our business and externally
• Raise awareness against bias – by continuing to educate our people through training
• Take action for equality – in our recruitment processes, pay gap analysis, staff events
MUFG’s established metrics allow us to better evaluate the firm. Our workforce is made up of 49% women and 35% female Senior Managers at the Director level and above.
Creating an environment of inclusion and diversity requires not only sustained commitment but also swift review and revision. Changes, big and small, lead to better work environments, stronger customer connections, product improvement, and access to more diverse talent over time.
Here at MUFG Investor Services, diversity and inclusion align our teams so that we provide the highest levels of service and excellence, and we will continue to prioritize as such.
“This year’s theme for International Women’s Day is a very exciting one! At MUFG Investor Services we have worked hard to create an environment where we can all choose to challenge bias and most importantly where we recognise and celebrate achievements. As CHRO I take immense pride in our Diversity & Inclusion journey so far, our culture has evolved so much and we are eager and ready for the challenge ahead! #ChooseToChallenge”, Sarah Mears, CHRO.
