Makoto Takeda

Makoto Takeda is the Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Chief Risk Officer for MUFG Investor Services. Makoto is currently responsible for the company’s Finance, Risk, and Compliance reporting lines. He has worked for the MUFG organization for over 26 years, holding roles in Japan and the United States within Mitsubishi UFJ Trust and Banking Corporation (“MUTB”) until 2021 when he joined MUFG Investor Services.

During his time with MUTB, Makoto held various positions within the company, which included leadership roles in the Corporate Finance Group and Business Planning divisions. More recently, Makoto was the Executive Vice President, and Head of NYC’s IS business development division.

Makoto earned a bachelor’s degree in Law from Keio University.
